Some time in the past, we did simply that—see A Glamorous Pre-War Flat in Poland, Courtesy of Colombe Design (and eBay). Right here’s one other refreshingly grown-up residence by the Warsaw-based designer.
This one belongs to some (a author of historic novels and his spouse) who requested Chrapka to rework a renovated-for-the-worse house into a complicated pied-à-terre that was worthy of its prewar shell. As Chrapka very succinctly explains, “Every part exterior—the attractive constructing, the parks, the Vistula River, the view, the sunshine—[was great].” And the unhealthy? “Every part inside.”
After reinstating interval particulars through moldings, herringbone oak flooring, and new grand home windows, Chrapka went about appointing the area with items—a mixture of customized, new, and classic—that, collectively, channel eclectic class. Nevertheless it’s the colours on this undertaking, a heat mixture of rust and brick pink punctuated with gold accents, that we so admire.
Take a look.
